Fast Emoji does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Everything stays on your device.
The short version: we don't have a server. We don't see what emoji you copy, what you search for, or anything else. There is nothing to leak because nothing leaves your browser.
What we store locally
The extension uses Chrome's local storage API
(chrome.storage.local) to save the following on your device only:
- The list of emoji you have marked as favourites
- The last 8 emoji you copied
- Your preferred skin-tone modifier
This information never leaves your computer. It is not sent to the developer, to Google, or to any third party. Uninstalling the extension or clearing extension storage removes it.
What we do not do
- We do not collect personal information.
- We do not use cookies or tracking technologies.
- We do not include analytics or telemetry.
- We do not contact remote servers.
- We do not sell or share data — there is no data to share.
Permissions
The extension requests one permission: storage. It is used
solely to remember your preferences between sessions, as described above.
Fast Emoji does not request access to your browsing history, the contents
of any web pages, or any other Chrome API beyond local storage.
Third-party services
Fast Emoji does not include any third-party services, libraries with network access, or external resources. The extension is fully self-contained and runs entirely offline.
Changes to this policy
If anything about how the extension handles data ever changes, this page will be updated and the version number of the extension bumped. The "Last updated" date above always reflects the current policy.
